Technical translation is not a straightforward task and demands highly specialised knowledge and a great deal of experience. At Syntacta we only work with qualified translators who have an established and proven background in the field of technical translation.

We understand the importance of getting technical translations right first time and work hard to select the most appropriate translator with an extensive knowledge and experience of the technical field they work in. It is often the case that they have extensive experience working in the particular industry or have studied an aspect of technology to a high level. This means that they know the correct terminology for various components as well as how they work and their relationship to other components. This helps us avoid literal translations, which can be meaningless. Our translators also adhere to our strict confidentiality policy, adding to our clients’ peace of mind.

Needless to say, we employ translators who translate only into their mother tongue. In additional to this we use translation memory tools to maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency of terminology. This means we can create glossaries of our clients’ terminology easily and ensure our translators adhere to the preferred terminology. Translation memory tools also help us to reduce costs when it comes to repeated text throughout a document or series of documents, making the whole process more efficient and cost effective.
